SPT.IMG.001 Danger Beach & Gemma Nourse – Speed of Light

Speed of Light” is the latest single from Danger Beach. The music is a return to more conventional pop song structure following years of sonic exploration. Taking inspiration from genres like Italo-DiscoVietnamese New-Wave (V-Wave) and FreestyleDanger Beach has crafted a tight dance track that recalls the glamour of Studio 54 and the sonic blissfulness of Blondie and Donna Summer. “Speed of Light” features vocals by Melbourne musician Gemma Nourse (of bands Sylvia and Earache), ethereally crooning about the hope and expectation of new love.

The B-side to the single is “Collider”, an arcade token fuelled instrumental that recalls the excess of late 80s electro and dance.
